Aimée Lavoie

Aimée Lavoie

Hello! My name is Aimée and I am from Treaty 9 territory in Timmins, Ontario, Canada. My home is on the traditional territories of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Algonquin and Métis nations. I own and operate Bunchberry Nature Treks, where I offer in-person and remotely guided nature connection experiences from the beautiful boreal forest near me. My love for nature runs deep and I can often be found in the great outdoors camping, hiking, wildcrafting, and forest bathing. I am passionate about well-being: for myself, for others, and for the more-than-human world.

I bring my Indigenous Environmental Studies background, warm nature, and experience serving individuals in need to my guiding practice in order to offer a gentle and welcoming experience to all who join me. I am committed to guiding anyone interested: I am 2SLGBTQ+ positive, can tailor walks to accessibility needs, and offer a sliding fee scale for BIPOC and those in need. Please reach out to inquire about private walks, custom sessions, and workplace wellness experiences. I look forward to guiding you wherever you are on our shared planet!

Bonjour!

5590 Ontario 101, Monteith, ON, Canada

A 1-hour Forest Therapy session, followed by a tour of the Alpaca farm. Find your calm then meet these gentle creatures with your senses open and ready to live fully in the experience 🦙 · 1 hour 30 minutes total · Min. 4ppl (if you don't have a group of four, contact for alternative options) Participants should arrive dressed for the weather. In Winter, this means dressing in layers and dressing warmer than you think you need to as Forest Therapy walks don’t generate a lot of body heat. Warm socks, good boots, mitts, neck warmer, and toque are a must. Hand warmers are also great! Base layer: closest to your skin, fits snuggly and helps wick moisture away. Look for wool or polyester fabrics. Mid layer: the insulating layer that keeps you warm. Stick to wool (alpaca 😉) or fleece. Outer layer: protects you from the elements like wind, rain and snow. This layer should be waterproof with enough room for layers underneath.
