Meet your guide…

Mileva Huljev

Mileva Huljev

Welcome! The experiences I offer foster an opportunity for us to slow down; physically and mentally. To get curious, to investigate, to feel, to play, and otherwise interact with the here/now of life. To just be ourselves, as imperfect and healthy as the trees.

I hold this practice to be a (re)connecting with the land and waterways; to appreciate Nature, as part of Nature.  Where I live and guide, a reverence for Nature was simply the Coast Salish way of living. These ancestral homelands of the Duwamish, Suquamish, and Stillaguamish Tribes, have been beautifully shaped by shifting tectonic plates, glaciers, and rainwaters that flow into the Salish Sea.

All of my walks begin with acknowledging the richness of these lands and waterways, and all the many beings who have and continue to tend them. I am looking forward to sharing the restorative power of Nature with you!

If you are interested in a private walk (not already on my scheduled offerings), please contact me. I'm happy to guide for just one person, a familiar group, coorporate/team retreats, ladies weekends, for wellness retreats, surf camps, and have even guided for a wedding!

Improve your well-being through immersion in Nature. This experience will guide you through a sequence of open-ended invitations to slow down, and use your senses to interact with the natural world. There is no expectation for what participants should experience or receive, though reduced stress is common, as well as improved creativity, a sense of calm and stillness while also feeling more alive. This is not a hike or meditation, but best described as a slow meander of less than a mile. This experience is ideal for persons older than 12, and who are comfortable traveling on uneven, unpaved terrain; though with notice, we can easily adapt for anyone with more limited mobility (fatigue, uneven gait, use of walker or cane).
