Dec 17, 2022 | 10:30 A.M. - 01:30 P.M.

Bear Valley Visitor Center, 1 Bear Valley Visitor Center Access Road, Point Reyes Station, CA 94956, USA

During this walk, we will contemplate the coming Winter Solstice and the stillness of the season. We will walk about a mile on and off a mostly level trail and spend some time sitting and walking under the forest canopy. There are up to 6 wide low steps that need to be negotiated on the trail. Please bring a light pack with water, warm layers, and rain gear. Weather conditions and temperature in the park can change quickly and you want to be able to stay warm during times of stillness in the forest. We might be walking on wet grass or on a somewhat muddy trail. Please wear shoes that will keep your feet protected from the elements. I will bring small foam pads to sit on the forest floor, or you can bring a small stool to sit more comfortably. A tea ceremony with light snacks at the end of the walk will complete our time together! Please register before December 14 at the link below! I hope you can join us in the forest!
