Meet your guide…

Kathryn Fidati
Certified through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, Kathryn has always sought solace in natural places. Her passion and purpose is guiding others to explore a deeper reciprocal relationship with Nature, for their own health and wellbeing as well as that of the Land itself.
Her guiding practice is informed both by a long career in healthcare and wellness as well as her more recent years spent teaching as an interpretive naturalist and canoe guide. The fast pace of our modern lives and constant technological connection can paradoxically leave us feeling more disconnected than ever. Spending guided time in Nature allows us to slow down, reset, and reconnect with ourselves, each other, and Nature. Experiencing the benefits of Forest Therapy firsthand inspired Kathryn to pursue guide certification to be able to share this practice with others.
When not out in the Forest, she can be found at the horse barn guiding an equine-assisted wellness program, in the backyard gardening, out hiking, painting, drumming, or curled up with a good book.

Guided Forest Bathing is an opportunity to connect to Nature and experience CNC in a new way. During this gentle 2½ hour ramble, we will balance wandering with rest, facilitated group gatherings, and solo time. Your guide will offer invitations, or suggestions, for safely engaging with Nature through our senses: sight, hearing, touch, taste, smell. With no expectations or goals, this is an opportunity to slow down, unplug, destress, and practice presence in the moment. We quite literally “come to our senses” and deepen our connection to Nature, ourselves, and each other. Inspired by the Japanese practice of shinrin-yoku, which translates to “forest bathing,” this is a sensory immersion, a chance to soak in the therapeutic benefits of being present in Nature (no water required!).
